Don't Let Me Sleep. (Story One)
This is story one in the, I guess, Lis and Zomb story telling series. It is kinda long...ish...but not as long as I thought. I am starting to post...but it may take a while to trim the deadwood from other authors that didn't work out. Have patience.
********
I am running in a dark city. It is bathed in shadows and the only light comes from the apartment windows, but it is so bright that you cannot see what is inside. Only white. Every night it is the same, I beat in the same doors, I take the same turns, and always running. Running from some creature I never really see. Finally I take a turn down this alley, and it has me trapped. I look around, but at the end of the alley is this pitch black hole, never ending....and so far across I can't jump it. I feel this thing...this thing that has been chasing me...I can feel it breathing down my neck...I want to run.....but I can't...so I turn around...and....

"and that's it," Robyn said as she opened her eyes and looked at the roof of her new psychoanylists office. She heard him sigh, scratching something on his pad.
"How long have you been having it Miss Rhoades?"
"Byn....please....and about a month....maybe more."
Dr. Raymond scratched some more. "And is it everynight?"
"Yeah...like I said...always the same."
He looked the pad over thoughtfully, scratching his fro, and then looked at her. He was a funny looking doctor over all, her normal psycholigist had referenced her to him when she complained about a dream. Dr. Ray was supposed to be the best in the hospital for dreams, but she didn't care about that. Going to him just ment another day at the hospital for her a week, and with Dr. Luca Monday-Thursday and Dr. Ray on Friday...it was getting to be drag.
"Well, one thing is clear....Byn....and that is that you have a problem. I can help, but you will need to come to my group session. We are starting it tomorrow...can you meet here about 2?"
SHe lept up off the couch, "but...but that will be my whole Saturday!"
"And that is the only day the others can meet. You don't have anything with Dr. Luca do you?"
He knew she didn't...so she just sunk back into the couch.
"Good...I'll see you there....and I promise...you'll find it very....informative."

Robyn reached the building at around 2:15...late as always. When she entered the room it was empty except for Dr. Ray and four other boys around her age...each one looking as if they hadn't slept in a week. She took her seat, this was going to be interesting alright.

'Stupid', Mikey thought to himself. 'I shouldn't be here.' He only went because it's keeping him awake.
Him and his brother too. He couldn't get any sleep either. And by the looks of them, neither could any of the other kids here.
He looked at his brother and cracked something of a smile. With his pale complexion, dark hair, and his eyes bruised from lack of sleep, he practically looked like a vampire.
Gerard, his brother, looked over at him, and once he realized he as laughing at him, he elbowed Mikey in the ribs.
Mikey stopped smiling and held his injury. 'Why do things always hurt more when you're tired? And why does he get bitchier when he is?' Mikey thought sourly.
"Fuck, Gee, that hurt," he muttered.
Gerard just kept glaring at nothing in particular.
Mikey looked up at the clock, wondering when they'd start this thing.
- - - - - - -
Robyn looked around the semi circle. Everyone was tired, pale, and scared looking. A girl sat next to her and stupidly asked if she had been having nightmares too. She supposed that it wasn't that stupid....but she was just mad over being here again today.
By looking at the group it was plan that she was the only one here on a regular bases. They all had the look of sanity while she had the hollow cheekes of a patient. And oh how she envied them all.
"Alright...now that we are all here, let's introduce ourselves. YOu all know me as Dr. Ray. Lets start with...you." Ray said pointing to the boy next to him, who grudglingly stood up and introduced himself as Gerard. The rest followed, Mikey, Frank, Bob...then it was her turn.
"I am Robyn...um...yeah." She quickly sat down.
"Hey...look...we have a Bob and a Rob....Rob-Bob." said the short boy called Frank.
Robyn blushed, anger rising in her face. "Byn...please...not Rob." she said quietly, but he didn't pay any attention. HE just kept laughing at her....laughing...they always laughed.
"STOP IT!!!!" she screamed, causing the room to fall into silence. "Stop laughing at me...I can't stand your laughing....just leave me alone." She turned to go, Dr. Ray calling after her the whole time.
"Look....I don't care anymore. I don't mind the dream, really...I just want to leave."
"Just wait...okay...just wait until someone tells their dream. Okay...someone start." He looked around and spied the boy who had laughed at Robyn. "How about you Frank?"

Frank looked up, his hazel eyes glaring into his calm brown ones as he nodded at him. Frank fiddled with his gloved-hands before breathing a heavy sigh and began speaking to the ground.
"Well, I--it's kind of a blur now but I'll try to remember," he started. 'Fuck! How gay did that sound?' But he really didn't remember much of it. "It starts out just me. I'm walking down the street, same as any other day. Only this isn't another day because my street is completely deserted and it never is. And I know this sounds retarded but I felt like I was being watched and well I--" he paused as he stared at the girl who'd made a fuss about her name, Robyn. Something just made him look at her and start talking.
"I looked behind me. And there was this girl. She was staring at me and then she just turned and started running. So, obviously, I followed her. And somehow she was getting pulled into this black hole so I started to help her out but I couldn't get to her in time. Then she just like vanished. And then I was completely alone," he stopped abruptly and his sight returned to the floor. That was the end. What else did he want him to say?
"Thank you Frank. Who wants to go next?"
Frank slouched into the plastic of the chair. 'Yeah, great. Give them a choice but not me. That's great,' he thought sarcastically.
"Someone else go, please. I'd hate to start picking people."
- - - - - - -
"Wait," Robyn said slowly, "what is all this? Do you mean to tell me that our dreams are linked?"
"I'm not sure what it means...but that is how it seemes."
She sunk into her chair. This was bad....real bad.
"Why us?" Frank asked.
"I don't know."
"What do you know!?" Robyn asked, what was her stepmom paying him for anyway?
"All I know is that this may have nothing to do with your mental state, seeing as only one of you is a regular patient..."
"Who?" someone asked and Robyn just sank futher into the chair.
"..but it could be solved if we share our experiences. Now....someone please go." Ray finished with a sigh.
"I'll go," Robyn said nervously. She closed her eyes and repeated everything she had told the doctor the day before. She remembered it clear as a bell. When she was finished she opened her eyes everyone was staring at her.
"What?" she asked...
"Aren't you the girl in Frank's dream?" Mikey asked.
"How should I know? Ask him if you wanna know, all mine was was shadow."
They all turned to him, and she was glad to see him slightly paniced.
Frank looked the group over and was about to answer when Ray broke in, "look....no analysing until we get through all of them. Now...NEXT!"
- - - - - - - -
Another girl walked in and took her seat, eyes down all the way. Her hair was in pigtails in an attempt to be neat, but it was clearly unbrushed, maybe for days. Dr. Ray looked at her sternly.
"Sorry I'm late," was all she murmured by way of apology. Her pale face reddened slightly.
Upon a closer look, her eyeliner also looked sloppy as if done by an unsteady hand. Sure enough her hands were trembling under the sleeves of her jacket (in which holes were cut for her thumbs to go through), and she seemed unable to control it.
One of the boys tossed her a nametag and a marker. She didn't catch either of them sucessfully, but they landed in her lap. She scrawled on the sticker and put it square over her heart. It read "IZZiE".
"Well," said Dr. Ray, "would you like to go next, Isabel?"
"Okay," she croaked out. There were snickers, but either she hadn't heard them or she didn't care. She cleared her throat and tried again. "Okay."
"It was.. dark, in the city, which is weird because, you know, cities are always full of light, even at night. Well, no, there was light, but not the kind that.. " she paused as she waited for the word to come to her. "that illuminated anything. There's something there, a.. for lack of a better word, prescence, and I can tell, it wants me. I'm walking, away from it, because it's not really there even though it is.. But then I stop walking because there's someone." She looked through the circle and the spread of dawning realization was almost tangible.
"It was.. a boy. Him," she said, looking directly at the lucky fellow.
- - - - - - - - -
'Dr. Ray' was moving on now, but it was too late to go any futher. Behind him an alarm rang signiling the end of our session.
"Hm...two hours already? Well, I hope to see you all the same time next week."
They all left in tired clumps, people splitting up at the door. Robyn sat for a moment watching them all leave. Two of the boys, obviously brothers, left together leaving out the same entrance as her, so she followed them.
"Geez, Mikes. Can you believe some of the wack jobs they have in this group?"
His brother threw a look behind him and spied Robyn, she acted as though she hadn't heard it though.
"You know, Gee, if you open up you might get help. I bet the ones who told their dream feel a lot better."
"I didn't see you jumping to tell your's though Mikes."
Robyn caught up with them, "You know what I just think it is terrible that even if they were called on, some people won't tell their dream."
"Yeah, well....not all of us are crazy." Gerard said speeding up, Mikey threw Robyn a glance again, but she just smiled "Whatever you say honey." She then threw Mikey a wave and walked toward her house.
When she walked in her stepmom inquired about her day, but she just breezed past her and went to her room and crashed on her bed, dream or no dream...she get her sleep.

*Gerard's dream*
It is my dream again...I am in a room, dark and soothing. In my hand is a blade, coated slick with blood. The scene around the room matched the sight of the sword. Bodies, nearly a dozen of them, before tonight the faces were all dark but now some were actually visible now. Against the far wall, Frank slumped his throat slit ear to ear with blood drenching his shirt. Robyn was next to him, she had been stabbed in the heart blood soaking her shirt through. Izzie had be cut across the stomach, Abbey had been cut across her arms what seemed like over a hundred times. I looked at others...but the only faces visible were those who had shared those stuipd dreams. I wanted to tell them I was sorry....I wanted to cry...but I didn't....I just laughed...and laughed...and laughed..and...
Gerard woke up sweating bullets. He heard Mikey moving in his room, he was about to see if he had had that dream again...Gerard rolled over. He didn't need this now.
- - - - - - -
But in he came anyway. "Gee," his voice was quiet as he stepped lightly to Gerard's side. "You--it happened again, didn't it?" "No, Mikey, I just like waking up in the middle of the night completely drenched in sweat and paranoid," he reply snarkily.
Mikey sighed and sat at the edge of his foot.
"Geeeee," he whined. "You can't keep doing this to yourself. This is the fifth night in a fucking row!" Gerard sat bolt straight up.
"Mikey, you act like I don't know that!" He immediately regretted raising his voice as Mikey jumped. He didn't like yelling, especially not at his brother. It wasn't his fault this was happening. "Mikes, I'm sorry but really. All I want is for this to just go away."
"You need to tell Dr. Raymond, Gerard. He should know," he offered. "Maybe if you told them-"
"Mikey," Gerard started. his brother just kept going.
"-they would be able to help you."
"That's just it, Mikes," He sighed looking at his brother warily. "I don't think anyone can help me."

Ooooh! I started to read the follow up to this somewhere else, can't quite remember ... but I just couldn't follow it cos too much had happened already.
Yay, now I get to read it from the very beginning. It's going to be good, I can tell that from just this one post.

Re: Don't Let Me Sleep. (Story One)
Okay...here we go again. Another update. I wonder how many post I can cram togther this time.
-----------
Robyn had her dream again, but it was different. She could see Frank's face clearly. And it didn't wear an angry expression, but one of concern. And at the end....she was pulled into the hole while Frank tried to save her. What was going on???
Robyn woke up at two am, and was not about to go back to sleep. So she got dressed and picked up a book her stepsister, Vanessa, had given her years ago....before she went missing. She wanted to go for a walk, but she didn't leave the house much after dark anymore. She stopped reading at about 5:30 when the sun began to rise and decided to leave the house. On her way to the door she stopped in the living room. Her father's rosery beads were on the table, personally her mother and she were a different religion from her dad, but still what could it hurt. She grabbed them and left.
She got to the church....chaple...whatever, at around 8 am. She had taken a detour through the cemetary to visit her mom. Sometimes if she went there the answers come to her, but not this time. She entered the building and sat in the last pew. She pulled the beads out of my hoodie pocket and that is when it hit her.
'...I didn't know any prayers.'
All she knew of her 'hail Mary's' was "Hail Mary full of grace"...she was in trouble. Suddenly the door opened and she turned to see the boy from group who had laughed at her name, Frank. He made the cross signal and took a seat on the same pew as Robyn. He took out his beads and began mouthing a wordless prayer.
"So....how does this work?" she asked him. He leaped into the air nearly screaming. He turned and gave her a nervious smile.
"How does what work?"
She explained her problem and he just laughed, "for me to tell you would be like the blind leading the blind."
"Great," she muttered sinking futher into the pew. Just then the door opened again and another of our group,Mikey, walked in. He made the cross signal then went to the alter for his prayer, when that was over he lit a prayer candle for his dreams.
It was here that it hit Robyn hope hopless this really was.
"I'm outta here, see ya around Frankie."
"Where are ya going?"
"I am just going...this isn't gonna help. It hasn't helped you yet. Why now?"
"Well....can...can I come too?"
Robyn turned and looked him over...was this a joke?
"As long as you don't mind the crazy girl sure, you can come."
They left the church together and breezed past Gerard. Robyn didn't give him a second look, but Frank seemed to give him a kind of wave. She didn't care, let them think what they want to.
"So....why did you freak out yesterday anyway?"
She smiled, "My stepmom calls me Rob....I just prefer Byn...my mom called me that before...." she stopped, no need to give away too much.
"So....where are we going anyway." Frank asked after her pause.
She stopped and turned to him, smiling at the abundance of tattoes and piercings on his small frame, "we are going party crashing. My stepmom is having a gardenparty today and we are gonna make it a lot of fun. Sound okay to you?"
He gave her a small smile, "as long as there is chocolate cake I am game."
'Maybe group won't be so bad after all,' Robyn mused as the two headed up the road together.

"...and until you can bring civilized people into this house I'd rather you bring none."
Robyn slammed her door shut, cutting off her stepmom's rant. The young girl's cheek still stung from her step mother's blow, and she could feel blood, warm and sticky, flowing from a cut her wedding ring caused. Robyn went to her private bath and cleaned the cut and went to lay on her bed for a while, placing her stinging cheak against the cool pillow.
'Probably bruse,' she thought weakly. Still, it wasn't a total bust. Frank was a hoot to have and he got plenty of cake out of the deal. He even offered to go get coffee with her the next afternoon. All in all, not bad.
As she lay on her bed her legs suddenly start tingling, she needed to go for a walk. Robyn looked out her window and saw that night was fast on its way.
"I have at least an hour though...that should be enough." She thought aloud, and that sold her. She opened her window and snuck down her lattus. The climb went well, until 3/4th of the way down when a board broke sending her plumiting into a bush. She crawled out, brused, but not to bad off.
She walked toward town, closing her eyes to let the damp night air envelope her. It felt so nice to be outside. Her cheek was even feeling better. When she opened her eyes she found that night was coming faster than she had thought. The sky was already really dark, it would be far beyond night fall before she made it home, even if I turned back now.
So keep going...and she did. Robyn looked across the street and saw Frank window shopping for comics or who knows what else. She was about to call to him when she heard it...'someone is calling my name.'
Byn...come here Bynny-girl. Her mother...she had always called her that...but it couldn't be her voice calling to Robyn.
'Can't be dad...he's on 'business'.'
She turned back to Frank and this time he caught Robyn's stare. She smiled and ran, knowing he'd chase her. She ran, now the voice calling both of them...they ran one after the other to the voice.
Robyn followed it into an alley, 'the dream' she stopped. ...'it's coming true' she looked around. Frank still had yet to come around the corner. She walked to the end of the alley and turned to face him...but something caught her eye.
On the wall was a large black splotch. About 8 feet high and 6 feet wide. It bubbled like it had a fire under it...but it was flat on the wall. Frank then turned the corner, and Robyn noticed everything was now moving in slow motion. He looked from Robyn to the blob and back again. She could tell he was worried. She was about to leave the alley when something the the oozy black mess caught her eye. It had a face, hidden sure, but a face none the less. She walked closer, her hand stretching out to touch it, but it grabbed her first.
She screamed the touch burned so much, turning to Frank for help, but it was no use. It was pulling her in...no escape Byn....no escape for you...
---------
She woke up with such a start from the bed that she landed in the floor. She looked around the room starry eyed, not able to tell it was her own bed room. When her sences finally grabbed a hold of her she was shaking all over. 'Was is a dream?' It seemed to real to be a dream, didn't it?
'If the lattus is broken, it happened.' it seemed the only way to be sure. She leaped to her window and looked down, but couldn't see far enough.
"Great!" she muttered. She leaned on her arms, and screamed in pain. It felt like her arm was on fire. She walked into her bathroom and looked at her left arm and nearly cried at the large blacked scars on her arm.

"Ow, ow ow..." Izzie said as she went into the bathroom. She rinsed off the gash on her finger. She was trying to sew shut a hole in one of her favorite T-shirts, but the only thing she'd had to cut the thread was a razorblade. Her hands were really shaky lately due to the lack of sleep, and she had accidentally ripped through her middle finger on her left hand.
'I'll have a fun time showing that off.'
She looked in the cabinet behind the mirror for some gauze.
She bandaged up her finger as best she could and stepped ouside. She went onto the porch, just to hear the city. Something about the constant chaos was something she couldn't live without.
She almost stopped shaking for a moment.
Since she was already outside, and still dressed, Izzie started walking.
She went into a less residential, more commercial area. It was just good to see other people who weren't asleep, whether by choice or not.
She glanced across the street and saw a couple of familiar faces. Those two guys from group, the brothers.
Izzie punched the button at the corner, frantically, because it looked like they were going to be down another block before she even got on their side.
Finally, the little white pedestrian told her she could cross. She dashed over before the red hand could even begin flashing. Izzie ran about half a block after them before she couldn't run any further.
"Hey!" she called after them. They hadn't heard, or weren't paying attention. "HEY!" Izzie shouted again, trying desperately to keep going after them. The older one looked around, nudged his brother, and they both stopped and waited for her.
Izzie caught up with them, panting and gasping for any oxygen at all.
"Hey, you're that paranoid girl from the group thing," the older of the two said.
"I have a name. I'm Izzie," she told them, holding out her hand for a shake. He accepted it only out of politeness, she was sure. His grip wasn't very strong. She shook the other's hand. She liked him, just because his handshake was a little more confident. This one introduced the both of them. "I'm Mikey, and this insensitive bloodsucker is Gerard."
Gerard hit Mikey, who seemed to be incredibly used to it.
"Okay, nice to meet you, but what are you doing out here this late?" Gerard asked.
"And the pot calls the kettle black.." Izzie murmured, too quietly for them to hear. "I could ask you the same, but I'm pretty damn sure I don't need to. You've both been having the dreams too."
Mikey looked like he was going to say something, then he stopped himself. "How can you be so sure?" he asked, which she was certain wasn't what he'd originally planned.
"This is going to sound stupid and ridiculous and just crazy.. but you're in my dream, Mikey."
Gerard looked a little unnerved. Izzie didn't think about asking because he didn't look like he'd tell.

Ah three...and um...I had to tweak this one a little. But then I tweak them all. More to come...
-----------
Robyn had her dream again, but it was different.

Re: Don't Let Me Sleep. (Story One)
More now!!
- - - - - - -
That night Robyn had to wrap her arm as best as she could, her mind wheeling over what this could mean as she laid back down and tried to sleep again. When Robyn woke up her thoughts traveled back to her dream.
'The lattus'.
If it was broken...then it wasn't a dream and...
and she was in more trouble then ever before.
She walked around the side of the house and up to the lattus, and hanging near the bottom...was a broken plank.
"It was real....the whole thing happened...but..."
I woke up
"it can't be...."
I was home
"...can it?"
"What happened to you?" it was Frank.
"I...nothing..."
"No..its something...what happened to your face...why is it all brused?"
Robyn's hand found her cheek and the mark left by her stepmom.
"Oh....it was nothing...she was really mad that you came...that's all."
"And you arm?" his clumsly wrapped hand grabbed her arm.
"I...it was a dream...how did you hurt yourself?"
He looked at his hands and blinked, "I reached in to save you...but I only got up to my wrists...it didn't want me yet..." he said dreamly.
"Frank....what is all this?" Robyn felt tears burning her eyes.
"I don't know...but I don't think we will all make it to see the end."
- - - - - - -
and that makes four
- - - - - - -
Frank and Robyn told each other their ‘dreams’, for lack of a better understanding. Both accounts were basically the same.
“What does it mean then?” Frank asked as they sat on Robyn's front lawn in front of her broken lattes.
“I don’t know…who do you think was calling us?”
“The voice...I didn't recognize it at all..."
Robyn didn't want to tell him who is sounded like to her, and instead turned the conversation to something else.
"In the black stuff...I though I saw a face..."
“So who do you…”
She held up her hand, “let me think a minute…”
She closed her eyes and bent her head toward her knees, allowing her curtain of brown hair to cover her face
Who could it have been?
Had to be someone from the group, don’t ya think?
Yeah, and someone who didn’t share their dream yet…cause I couldn’t quite see their face in the black…So, who didn't shared their dream then…and why?
He’s scared…he is doing something bad in it.
Like what?
Something bad...something painful...
And he’s scared…
But he’s putting up a tough guy front…and its working…do you get it yet?
I got it alright.
She jumped up from her sitting position, “I have a plan.”
“A plan….a plan for what?”
She looked at Frank's badly self wrapped hands.
“Well, first off we’re going into my house so I can wrap your hands better, then we are going to visit a fellow group member.”
“But , what about your stepmom?"
She rolled her eyes, "she goes off shopping..."
(da da da da da DA CHAAAARRGE IT!!!)
"...on mondays and won't be back for awhile, we have plenty of time."
And with that Robyn pulled him off toward her backdoor...just in case.
-------------
An hour later they stood in front of what Robyn thought to be a most unlikely place in a stunned silence. It was Frank who finally broke it.
“Pink….his house is PINK!!!”
The two of them both let out a tear of laughter, it wasn’t just pink but it also had a lovely white picket fence and even a tire swing. Robyn finally got them in order though, it was best to seem serious for what she was about to say.
They walked up to the front door and knocked, when no one answered Robyn turned to Frank.
"What now," he asked, all laughter having left his face.
She turned around and sat on the front stoop. "We wait...someone will be by soon enough."
----------
Mikey walked up his driveway from his solo trip to the church to see a strange set of characters sitting on his front porch, a second glance told him they were his fellow group members Gerard had lovingly code named "Crazy Girl" and "Shorty". When they saw him coming the girl walked over.
"Um...how are you feeling Mikes."
He shrugged and walked toward his front door.
"Look...Mikey...we need to talk to your brother...about his dream...do you know where he is?"
Mikey turned, "No I don't, and good luck sister trying to get it out of him. He won't even tell me."
"But...you must have some clue...I know I do....why not tell us...we are all in this together aren't we?" Her eyes were boring into Mikey's skull, he finally relented and let them both in...he had a dream for them all right...and they sure wouldn't like it.
Robyn and Frank listened to Mikey as he recounted his dream in his living room, the two of them on the couch and him sitting on the scrubbed wooden surface of his coffee table, eyes on the floor. He told them about it, about the fact that, at first, it was an okay dream...until he heard the screams...and thats all he remembered of it. When it was over, Mikey looked up at them, fear in his eyes.
“Happy now?”
“I…it’s what I though, that’s all??” Frank looked confused.
“So…what now?"
“I...."
'Don't know?'
"I'll think of something..” She looked at him...he looked beat, she wondered...
“Did you sleep last night?”
He looked uncomfortable, “I’ll take that as a no then. Well, I guess that’s what’s next!”
“What!” Frank yelled, “you actually WANT him to sleep?”
“Yeah…we have to know how much it has changed in him.”
“And if I come down the stairs with a gun or something…what you do then?”
Robyn shrugged. “Only one way to find out,” she said as she pointed up the stairs.
Mikey then gave her a good hard look. In those eyes was so much hate and fear, but buried beneath that…was it…could it be…gratitude?
"I wouldn’t hold my breath."
After the stare down he turned and left toward what she could only imagine was his room and Robyn collapsed on the couch with Frank.
“Told you it wouldn’t be that hard.”
“And…what if he does come after us in a minuet…what then?” Frank asked, digging for the remote in the couch.
“We’ll just have to burn that bridge when we get there.”

Last one for now
- - - - - - - - -
An hour later Frank and Robyn were running up the stairs to the sounds of Mikey's screams. When they entered they saw Mikey sitting up in his bed, unseeing eyes forward, hands clawing for his face. Frank jumped on him and held him down as Robyn ran over and sat at his left side holding down his left arm while Frank moved to his right. The whole time Mikey was trying madly to get his hands to his eyes.
"Calm down Mikes...breathe!" Frank called, but nothing was getting through. They sat like that for about half an hour before a sound downstairs caught their attention.
"What do you think it is?" Robyn asked Frank in a quiet voice.
"I'm not sure," he said placing her other hand on Mikey's right arm, "but I am going to find out."
"You're not going to leave me here...I can't do this alone!"
Frank gave her a 'shut up for Pete's sake and trust me' look then left the room. As soon as he was out of sight Mikey, who had been quite for about five minuets, began kicking his legs so badly that Robyn had to sit on him to keep her grip. When he couldn't move, Mikey took to scratching her arms.
"Frank....get your BIG butt back up here and HELP ME!!!" she screamed, not caring if who or what was down there heard her. She heard a quiet commotion down stairs then two pairs of feet drumming on the stairs. Robyn looked up at the door and was relieved to see Gerard in the doorway, followed by Frank. She actually felt a little rediculious thinking it was someone bad...of course it was Mikey's brother. But her relief was too soon, appariently Gerard was not too pleased to see someone straddling his younger brother and before he could be stopped he had crossed the room and threw Robyn off of his brother and into the mirror on the opposite side of the room.
She sat there dazed as Mikey began the fight for his eyes again, this time Gerard was sitting on him. She reached up and touched the back of her head, feeling a small cut on it blood clotting her hair. She was about to stand up and help Gerard, or maybe just bandage her head when she caught something reflected in the glass of the broken mirror. At first she didn't think it was real, but as she turned she knew it must be. In the mirrored glass, where her reflection should be was the reflection of a girl, seemingly her age and she had close cut violent red hair and wild yellow eyes. Robyn looked at her, and she at Robyn.
"Red?!?!" she asked the girl, her head spinning.
'Hey kiddo...missed me much?' Then it all went black.
-------------
Robyn was little again...about 8...wait no...she was not even 6 yet. It was time for bed and she was brushing her teeth. As she was bent over the sink she felt as though someone was watching her. She looked up to see, not her reflection, but a red hair girl staring at her. She didn't know what to do...what to say. So she just staired at her. After about ten minuets her mother came is asking if she was ready for bed, when she entered the bathroom she stopped and looked at the mirror too. Then she looked at me.
"Do you see her too Bynnie?"
Robyn nodded her head.
"Did you ask her name?"
She shook it.
"Now Byn...she will think you don't have any manners. What is your name deary?"
The girl looked at her mother and smiled, "People call me Red, so you can too."
"Red...isn't that a lovely name Byn?"
She nodded...it was. And that is how Robyn met Red, she use to be with her all the time, until mom died. And now she was back...she wasn't sure if this was good or not.
----------------
Robyn woke up with four faces swimming above me....three...there were three. Red wasn't there...she never was. She blinked again and raised herself up a little.
"Byn...are you okay?" Frank looked slightly panicked.
"Hm? Oh...yeah, just faintied I guess. More embarassed than anything." Robyn smiled as she tried to stand up.
"You might want to take it easy Robyn...you had a nasty fall." Frank said, maybe they thought it was what Gerard did that made her faint, and maybe she'd let them.
"Nah...just a little cut. No problem."
Robyn turned to Mikey, she really wanted to know what his dream was about but she needed to get him alone...or at least away from his brother. She stood up and crossed the room, the mirror still laying in shards on the floor. She saw a piece of red reflected, but ignored it. Robyn turned toward the group.
"Um...I probably need to go home. Would you mind walking me Mikey?"
Mikey looked honestly puzzled, but nodded his head. Frank followed them out the bedroom door and to the stairs before Robyn asked him if he wanted to come too.
"Um...no, I got you in enough trouble yesterday."
"But....you have to. I mean...who else will make my stepmom so mad that she is speechless?"
He laughed and that sold him. The three of them made it to the park before they started talking about Mikey's dream.
"Well, it was like before" Mikey started, "we were on some island, we were at a kind of party everyone in the group. We were laughing, smiling...it was great, and then it got dark. Someone screamed and we were all rushing for this cave on the island. We made it to this central part, but we were trapped. I could heard people crying." He shuddered, "then a shadowy person came into the cave with a sword and ran at us. I tried to run past him...maybe even stop him, but when I saw who it was I couldn't even move."
"Gerard?" Robyn asked breathlessly.
Mikey just nodded.
"So what does it mean," Frank asked.
"We can figure this out...I know we can." Robyn looked at her watch and shrugged, "but I really do need to go home. You still willing to walk me?"
The boys nodded and we headed off.
-------------
"...and now you've got TWO of them." Robyn's stepmom didn't even wait until they were gone to start this time...she dug in as soon as they hit the front lawn.
"What is wrong with my friends?"
"It isn't that...it's just....think about the neighbors..."
"I am the neighborhood crazy girl!"
"...think about what your sister would think..."
"She is the same age as me!"
"...think about your reputation!"
Robyn smiled at this one, "MY reputation....since when is MINE the one to worry about Gina? I didn't break up a 12 year marriage, and really isn't that what this is about...you are afriad that my dad's little 'business trip' is just to cover for the fact that he is cheating on you like he did on my mom?"
Robyn's stepmom was livid, "What would you have me do then Robyn...just wait until he gets married to this new girl and then kill myself?" She smiled smuggly at Robyn as she felt her face turn gray.
"Wh..."
"Oh...you have not told your friends what your sweet saintly mother did to you? Well boys, I guess she couldn't take the fact that her husband had found another, so while we were getting married, and little Rob was with us, she took a whole bottle of sleeping pills and drank a bottle of wine. Such a sad suicide."
Robyn ran past her when she had finished, up to her room where she packed a change of clothes and anything that held wonderful value to her (the book from Vanessa and a memory box from her mother) and left the house with them. She didn't know where she was going...just away. She hadn't thought of her mother's death in years and now...but what did it matter.
"Hey....are you going to wait for us or not!!!" It was Frank, he and Mikey were puffing along behind Robyn trying to catch up.
"Just leave me alone...I don't need any sympathy."
"But...where are you going to go?"
Robyn stopped...she had not thought of that. IShe turned to face them, their faces were set in sad stony expressions.
"I....I don't know." She felt a hot tear run down her cheek.
"You can stay with us...I am sure my mom would be happy to have ya." Mikey said. Robyn smiled back then collasped into a teary lump on his shoulder as the crickets began to sing.

Okay...I am done for now...read it up yo!
- - - - - - - - -
Last one for now
- - - - - - - - -
An hour later Frank and Robyn were running up the stairs to the sounds of Mikey's screams.

Re: Don't Let Me Sleep. (Story One)
Here is more...with edits.
- - - - - - -
'Could that be her?' Iz thought to herself. Trying to remember the battered and bruised face that was stained with tears that had just ran past her. It had to be. Those were the same bruises she had gazed at for centuries. She knew here and now was the time to get a closer look. Iz looked herself over quickly to make sure she looked appropriate. She was wearing a black Misfits shirt, baggy black pants and boots. Her long, straight, black hair seemed to be smothed down and not sticking out eveywhere. Finally concluding there was nothing more she could do about her appearance, she took a deep breath and decided to go to them now.
Iz walked over to the small huddled group and stared at them curiosly. Such affection was always made her giggle and wishful at the same time. Most humans have always been soft and always show affection, even to people they don't know.
"What the fuck are you staring at?" the shorter one said.
This rude question caught her offguard and she started to stutter a little bit.
"I... I... is she okay? I kinda overheard the whole thing and I was wondering if there was anything I could do?"
Iz said. He had bright hazel eyes, much like hers, but her's were more yellow.
"No. We're fine," he answered and turned back to the girl and other guy. He gently started pushing them as to signal it was time for them to leave.
As they walked off Iz stayed behind. Humans were such fragile creatures. One mean slur and they break down. That is why they are admirable at the same time. They can have their life taken so quickly and without notice.
Suddenly Iz felt a presence by her side. She knew who it was and just smiled a wicked smile. Then she turned to her left and looked.
"Glad you could make it," Iz said looking towards the new comer.
"Wouldn't miss the action for anything," Ali said looking up. She hated being short. "So what did I miss?"
Iz just laughed at her then turned back to looking at the humans walking across the way. "Nothing, silly."
"Well, I'm just making sure."
"Now shut up and let me concentrate."
"What are we looking at?"
"You, are looking at nothing. I'm looking after that girl......and thinking."
"About what?"
"Will you just shut up?!?" Iz said obviously aggrivated at this point.
"Fine," Ali said putting her head down. She soon found a rock and started kicking it around.
"I've got it!"
"Got what?" Ali asked.
"What we are going to do. We must tell our mistress."
Ali pailed a bit, "do we really have to?"
"Let's go, Ali. We're going back to my place."
"But...I mean..."
"Now let's go," Iz said taking off at a unusally fast pace.
"Can we slow down? My legs aren't as long as yours."
"Run if you must."
"Iz, come on."
"I said, run if want to keep up," she said starting to walk even faster.
Soon they were at Iz's home where the two of them could tell their mistress all

Robyn had cried for a few moments before she felt it, something was behind her. At first she though it was a normal something, a person would walk by here and see a crying girl and naturally be curoius and want to see why she was upset....right? But this didn't feel normal, it felt....odd.
"What are you staring at?" Frank asked, then Robyn heard the girl stammer her concerns about her.
See...totally normal.
But it just wasn't right.
Robyn had stopped crying by then without even noticing it. A certain part of her wanted to turn and look at the girl behind her, to prove to herself that she was...normal...but she didn't dare. Robyn could feel it pulsing off of her, that difference.
You are different....does that make you bad?
But this wasn't the same...it reminded her of when her mother was....
Hush that now...you are already upset enough!
Robyn felt Frank give her a small push in the small of her back, so she let him and Mikey lead her away from the girl. But she could still feel her eyes burning into the back of her head as they left.
----------
"Thank GOODNESS Mikey...I was so worried!"
Mrs. Way came running at Mikey as soon as he entered the house, seems that she arrived shortly after they had left. She gave Mikey a bone crunching hug before she even noticed Frank and Robyn.
"Oh....Mikey, are these friends of yours?"
"Er...yeah Ma...I was wondering if Robyn could stay with us she..."
"My parents are out of town," Robyn lied, "...anniversary and such. I could stay home alone, but I have not been sleeping well lately and..."
"Nonsence...of COURSE you can stay with us. As long as you need!"
She gave Mikey a smile and then turned to Frank, asking him if he was staying the night too.
When that was said and done with they all sat down to a warm home cooked meal. Mother Way certainly had a gift when it came to food, everyone ate at least two plates, some even more. But the whole time Robyn was getting dodgy looks from Gerard, as if he could feel that she wasn't tellin them the whole truth about myself.
"So Robyn...how long have your parents been together."
She choked a little on her bite of potatos, "Um...nine years." She gave Robyn a sideways glance, "Er....she is my STEP mom. My REAL mom...um...she..."
"Oh....well then that explaines it." Mrs Way said after getting looks from both Frank and Mikey. "Make sure you finish your food Gerard...your friend Frank has."
Gerard shot her a 'he's not my friend look', and then left the table.
It wasn't too long after this that they all went to their bedrooms, Frank bunking with Mikey and Robyn in the guest room. None of them were wanting to sleep , but it would come. Be it hell or high water.

Enough for now.

Re: Don't Let Me Sleep. (Story One)
hahaha, fine fine fine. I gotta hour to kill at school so here is more.
---------
Robyn's dream happened in a flash, everything happening at hyper speed. She was running, then she was watching the black mass, and finally she was pulled in all in mere seconds. Then....it slowed down to regular speed. Robyn found herself pushing through the darkness, feeling it pull on her hair and at her clothes. Just as she was beginning to think that she would no longer be able to stand it, she had reached the other side.
Robyn was on a beach and it was dark. She could feel the cooling packed sand under her feet as she walked. A gental breeze carried the sounds of a far off town.
Where am I?
You've been here before.
It was Red's voice.
What do you mean...I...
It is in your box...your mother brought you here.
Why don't I remember it then?
Some things are painful dear...but you need to remember it.
Then the sun rose quickly, batheing the beach in golden light...but it wasn't just a beach it was an...
An island? Where is there one near by?
You can figure it out....just watch out for the others.
What others?
When you see them...you will know.
Robyn turned to walk along the beach, trying to see something that would remind her of were she was, when suddenly she felt something grab her leg. She fought against it...but it was no use. Before long...she was buried.
--------
Robyn jumped out of her dream, coughing in for air. She raised up, a sharp pain in her arm telling her that her arm had becone unwrapped. Robyn walked slowly toward the bathroom next door and closed the door behind her. Without looking up she ran water in the sink and emerged her arm in it. She watched as the water began to cloud up from the weird stuff that seemed to be growing on her arm.
"Why won't this just stop?" she asked herself quietly.
It will once you remember everything.
When she heard the sudden voice she jumped, looking up at her reflection. But it wasn't her reflection that stared back...and she screamed.
- - - - - -
Here comes some more. By the way...this next one has Lissy's first post ever to DLMS *cheers*
Edit: This wasn't only my first post to DLMS..
It was my first post EVER
- - - - - -
The figure in the mirror was almost impossible to make out. Shrouded in a hooded cloak, the figure taunted. The only decoration was a small blood red French clasp.
You will remember but it won't stop him or save him or anyone else. Unless of course I choose to take PITY on you all. But then why would I do that ? What could you possibly offer me?
"What do you want? I'd do anything to make these dreams stop!"
Well maybe your little group can figure that out..That is if they're any of your little friends left.
With that she disappeared.
Tell him I miss him. Her whisper echoed through the room.
- - - - - -
A small post...but very great! A lot less smut than what came later...(love you Lis)
- - - - - -
"TELL WHO!!!!" Robyn yelled as she disappered, but no one answered. Robyn then sat on the side of the tub, feeling utterly lost.
"How can I help them...I don't even KNOW them...what if they don't WANT my help?"
No one answered, so she let out a tired sigh.
She sat there a little longer before she heard the hushed shuffly steps of someone coming to the bathroom. They paused at the door and knocked.
"Mikes...get out. I need something from in there."
It was Gerard. Robyn quickly stood up and went to the door to open it.
"Sorry Rardy, no Mikey here. What do you need?"
He paused and looked her over sleeply, his eyes staying on her injured arm a little too long.
"What you do to it?"
She stared at it too, it was oozing the gray liquid which had stained the nightgown Mrs. Way had let her borrow and more than likely the guest room sheets.
"I didn't do a thing...just fell asleep."
Gerard sighed and pushed Robyn backwards into the bathroom and closed the door.
"So what, are you just going to let that thing run all over the place, geez!"
Robyn sat back down on the tub as Gerard dug through the bathroom closet for some wrappings. She looked at her reflection and was not surprised to see Red staring back at her instead. Red's eyes were wide with horror looking in Gerard's direction.
What's up? I thought suddenly talking to Red seemed normal again.
It's him...you need to watch him...
But why?
Just DO it!
Robyn looked back at Gerard as he came with some gauze from the closet and some funny smelling balm that he claimed his father had used when he burned himself the year before.
But Robyn wasn't really listening...in the mirror, where his reflection should be was something else in its place. Black shadow covered its form so that all she could tell what that there was something there, something...not right. Out of the darkness two pin points of light seemed to act as eyes, glaring angrly about.
Robyn looked at Red, and Red at Robyn.
What is he?
If you don't stop him...he will kill us all. Was Red's only responce.
Gerard put the stuff on Robyn's arm and that snapped her painfully out of her link with Red, but it didn't allow her to forget what was in Gerard. The bad thing was, or maybe it was a good thing, was that he didn't even seem to notice what was there inside him.

More from Lis.

Oh Gerard noticed he knew what was in him. He was terrified of it, and it somehow made him powerful. Knowing this beast was inside of him made feel sexy somehow. Blood was always a symbol for sex since time began and the beast wanted BLOOD lots and lots of blood.
Gerard was never in control of it. When the beast wanted out it took over. Gee was just helpless to watch.
The girl he had bandaged got up and left the room in a hurry. Could she see it? Was it in his eyes? He looked in the mirror.
The hooded figure was back.
"She's afraid of you my pet. They all are." The figure in the mirror smiled a wicked smile. She pushed back her hood. A pale round face with dark blue kohl lined eyes and red red lips smiled at him.
"Or they should be.. "
"You! You did this to me. "
"No my Pet." She materialized in front of him. "You asked for this. BEGGED as I remember you wanted to be wanted. You didn't care what to cost was.."
Gee hung his head in shame. She was right. He had wanted power, wanted to be wanted, Wanted, no NEEDED to be heard. He didn't think at the time about the consequences.
Then she had appeared. She was at the coffee shop stairing at him day after day. One day he had had enough.
He walked over to the table where she had been sitting.
"Do you want something?" He was angry he didn't like being stared at.
"Maybe." She purred. "I not sure you are worth the trouble." She smiled at him and his blood froze in veins.
"Tell me my Pet," She motioned for him to sit. He didn't want to but he couldn't stop himself.
"What is it that you keep scribbling in those notebooks day after day?"
She reached across the table to the notebook he held tighty shut.
He didn't let anyone, not even his brother see what was in them.
It was WAY too personal. And yet when touched his hand he couldn't help but let her see.
"Hm-- Interesting are there more?" Somehow he suddenly wasn't frightened or angry any more.
"Some."He squeaked. "I don't know what I doing..Where I'm going with my life-if you'd call it that. I don't know where I belong. Why I'm here..." his voice trailed off, faded away really.
"I may be able to Help you with that. Would like that? Would like MY HELP?"
Gee slowly shook his head yes.
"Well then, follow me." She got left the coffee shop, with a very innocent Gee close behind.
"Yes my Pet, I remember it too." she whispered. "You were so EAGER to have someone pay attention to you. You had my full attention. You can have it again. Anything you want. all you have to do is STOP FIGHTING who you really are.."
Gee pulled his shoulders back "I may have done your bidding eagerly then..But not any more, not now, never again."
She leaned in toward him. "Never say never MY PET... " She breathed the last words in his ear..kissed him lightly and vanished before his eyes.

---------
Robyn's dream happened in a flash, everything happening at hyper speed.

A small post...but very great! A lot less smut than what came later...(love you Lis)

Re: Don't Let Me Sleep. (Story One)
Here is more...still have a while to kill time.
----------
As soon as Gerard had dressed her arm Robyn left, muttering a quiet thank you. She got as far as the guest room door before she felt it, suddenly he wasn't alone in the bathroom anymore. Robyn crept over to the door and pressed her ear against it and listened. She recognized both voices immediatly. One was Gerard's, sounding slightly strangled and panicked, and the other was the woman she had seen in the mirror earlier that night.
But why is he talking to her?
He knows her...you need to watch them closely.
I walked away from the door.
Why should I. If he needs my help he can ask me.
But...what about...
I am no savior...let them come to me!
Robyn went to her room, but only read instead of sleeping until she heard movement downstairs. She then got dressed in a black and white stripped long sleeve Jolly Roger shirt, to hide she wrapped arm, and faded jeans. When Robyn entered the downstairs she saw that it was just Mrs. Way fixing breakfast. She and Robyn talked while fixing breakfast. The conversation though was mostly her expressing her surprise that her boys had found friends in their new group.
After nearly an hour, Mikey and Frank came downstairs in their P.J.s with a serious case of bedhead each. It was another long while before Gerard made an entrance, and when he did he tried to leave before even eating.
"Gerard Arthur Way...you best get oven here and eat some of this breakfast! Robyn and I worked hard on it!"
He grudgingly sat at the table and munched some toast. After an uncomfortable half an hour, Mrs. Way announced that she was going to work and that she and Mr. Way might be late coming home from work. They all bid her goodbye and as soon as she was really gone, Gerard headed for the door.
"But...Gee...we really need to talk." Mikey said.
"Then you guys can talk...I have to meet someone."
"Gee, this is really important. Don't you care?"
"Mikes it's not....fine whatever!" His hand was on the nob.
Stop him!
Not my fight. Let him see his girlfriend for all I care.
"Don't worry okay Mikey...I'll be back later." And with that he left.
"Great, now what do we do. Track him down?" Frank asked plopping onto the couch next to Robyn.
"No...we let him come back. If he wants to share we will get the whole story, if we force it he will hold back." Robyn said, but she didn't believe he'd ever be ready to talk.
Robyn, though, had this sudden urge to run after him, because she knew that he wasn't going to meet just anyone. He was on his way to meet that woman.
She suddenly jumped up, "I have to go too."
"Where are you going?" Frank asked wearily.
"My house...I left some stuff. It won't take long."
"Want us to come with?" Mikey asked as he started to follow her.
"No...I think I am in enough trouble as it is. I'll manage alone."
Then she was gone.
Robyn went to the park and thought about where Gerard would go to meet this woman, the idea came to her nearly at once. There was a cafe' near an old graveyard, he was there...he went there a lot infact. Robyn ran there in a flash and was soon outside looking in at Gerard and the woman sitting at a booth. Gerard's hand was in hers and she was talking to him, and he was hanging on every word. Robyn watched them a moment longer, then the woman's glance flashed to her and she felt an icy pain in her bandaged arm then the woman was gone. Gerard was still there though, his hand out as though he was holding the woman's hand.
I need to go...
You NEED to help him
But.....fine...I know you are right.
She always was. Robyn stepped into the cafe and made her way toward Gerard, who was still looking dazed. She sat in front of him, but that didn't break the spell. It wasn't until she placed her hand in his that he woke up. He took one look at Robyn and began to leave.
"Wait Gee...please!" she cried, grabbing his arm as he walked past.
"Let go Robyn."
"No...not until you listen...you see...I know what it is like...what it is like to want to be wanted. I know how it feels to NEED to be heard."
He looked down at her with wide eyes, then took his seat back.
"So...you know my story...but what's yours?"
- - - - - -
I think I have time for one more.
- - - - - -
Gerard was hostile. His eyes were blazing. He was always like this right after...He took a deep breath, and tried to regain his composure. He look at the worried face across the table from his. He knew she was genuinely concerned. But why? What did his problems matter her?
"I'm sorry" he said. "I didn't mean to... "
Robin wasn't angry maybe she should be but she was just too worrried. Red wanted her to watch him. But if that thing in the mirror was inside of him or worse that woman was controling him..What could Robyn possibly do?
Robyn didn't know his story, not all of it anyway. She was determined to find it out.
'You catch more flies with honey' her mom used to say.
So he wanted to know her story she tell him atleast some of it.
- - - - - -
Alright...this is totally the last one.
- - - - - -
Robyn watched Gerard as he stared her down, wanting to know all about her. And she would tell him a lot, but not all of it. Having secrets is half the fun of being human after all.
"Well, Gee, I guess to start off I should say that the thing I have...I mean...inside me...she's different from your's. I got her when I needed her, but not for power or anthing like that. She helped protect me from something I didn't understand."
Suddenly this was sounding really lame, Robyn cleared her throat and continued.
"When I got Red, er...that's what she calls herself, it was to protect me from someone who loved me so much...so one who couldn't stop herself...from my mother."
She let out a shuddery sigh and looked at her hands in her lap, "you see...my mom had what you had...I mean...I guess she did. I don't know how she got it so please don't bother asking, and sometimes...if I was bad...maybe I chipped a dish while doing the wash. Well, when mom saw it she would...."
no mommie...please mommie...no mommie
Robyn was shaking all over, she felt tears running down her face. She hadn't thought of any of this in so long...she had forgotten it all. She wiped the tears away and began again.
"Lets just say...I still have a mark or two from mommie's little fits. When Red came she said that she might be able to help me get away sometimes...that, if I had to, she could help me forget. Let me just say, she is a wonder at making you forget what has hurt you." Robyn laughed a little, but that turned into a sob. Her face was burning, her eyes were burning, she wanted out of there.
"But," Gerard interupted, "didn't your dad notice?"
Robyn laughed, "Dad was a little too busy having his filthy affairs to worry about why his daughter had bruses and cuts on her."
"So...you were alone?"
"Never...when mom wasn't sick she was great...and when I didn't have her...I had Red."
Robyn put her hand on Gerard's arm, "but Gee, you are never alone here. You have a brother and family that loves you, friends that care. Do you really need that thing inside you?"
Robyn felt a tremor pass through him. She looked into his eyes, but it wasn't Gerard who looked back.
"My dear, I really don't think Gerard here has a choice...do you?"
- - - - - -
Okay...now I have to go do news on the radio. (gag-ith me with a spoon-ith) Enjoy the reading. Maybe more tonight.

Re: Don't Let Me Sleep. (Story One)
"My dear, I don't really don't think Gerard her has a choice...Do you?"
She laughed an evil laugh.
Robyn squeezed her eyes shut.
Was she ever sorry she opened them.
They were someplace very dark very damp very cold. The kind of cold that slices through you.
"My poor Pet .. " Robyn looked at Gerard he was standing there worn out almost dead on his feet. He looked as though he been beaten yet there were no bruises. He looked as he was to collapse.
The woman smiled that evil smile.
"He had no choice when I first chose him, just as he doesn't now. Just as he won't later. He is mine ! I gave him his power .. He gave himself to me."
Robyn was so angry she could barely speak.
"You tricked him! You USED him He just needed someone to listen!
You took advantage of.. of his pain of his fear. "
"Foolish child. I do not come unbidden..I simply.." the woman was searching for her words. She smirked "encourage what's waiting to surface. The beast as you see it is in all of us. Isn't it? It was in your mother..
Robyn screamed "Don't ! You know nothing about her!"
"On the contrary my dear" Robyn was about to be sick she changed into her mother before her very eyes.
"I know everything.!!!"
Robyn flinched as she felt the back of mother's hand across face.
A strangled cry escape Gee's lips.
At that the woman turned to Gee she was herself again..and She was angry.
"No my Pet! You cannot stop me." He fell to his knees. She brushed a hand through his hair once twice than yanked his head back up to make him look at her. The panic and fear was plain to see in his eyes.
She whispered menacingly "YOU GAVE YOURSELF TO ME. Only I can choose to release you or the beast within you."
She yanked his head back again. Her red lips parted. She looked as though she would devour him.
Instead she closed her lips on his. As she kissed him he transformed, slowly gone was weak broken figure that had previously been. Now his arms wrapped tightly around her and he kissed back fiercely. When their lips finally parted, his eyes were bright with the evil shining within them.
He didn't attempt to rise instead he stayed on his knees. His face pressed between her breasts, nipping at them, through the dark toga she wore.
The woman spoke to Robyn but didn't bother to look at her, admiration glowing in her eyes as she stroked her pet. " You see HE gave himself to me. Are you hungry my Pet? "
"Yes my Mistress." His voice was thick it was almost a growl.
"I brought you a treat." She nodded towards Robyn.
The woman lightly touched him under the chin and he rose following her touch. He took a half step towards Robyn.
"Uh-uh now my Pet, don't you thank me first? "
He turned away from Robyn. She could see the marks old and new, up and down his back. Blood red nail marks.
" Yes mistress. Forgive me." He kissed her deeply, almost violently. He looked over his shoulder at Robyn. A low growl escaped his lips. He licked them as if preparing for a good meal.
"Now my Pet. Take a bite."
Robyn screamed.
Gerard sat across the table from looking at her like she stark raving MADD!!!
============
"Well are you going to tell me the rest of your story or not? Cause if you don't feel like," he put his fingers up a did the air quote thing "Sharing...I got places to be."
"No wait" she said "Don't you remember anything I said about my mother and Red anything!?"
He squirmed and looked confused.
"Woll yeaah!! But after....You just sorta. I don't know... spaced out. Then you acted like I was gonna hit you or somethin' You freaked out. Then you just sat there and stared at me like I was a...." He brushed his hand through his hair.
"Look, I gotta enough goin' on. Mikey thought this little group would help. I don't think it is.... I gotta go. "
Dr Ray stood across the street he saw Gee leave..Things were going WELL. 'His Lady' would be pleased. Time to get things moving again. Ray ran to catch up to his most Promising Patient
"Gerard!" he called. Gee stopped and turned around. He saw who was calling him. He rolled his eyes and lit a cig. "I 'm glad I ran into you-" Gerard held up his hand to stop him.
"Yeah Doc, I was thinking," He blew the smoke in the Dr's face on purpose. "This isn't helping. The group is great an all. And I know my little bro' was just trying to help an all."
Ray couldn't FATHOM why SHE saw anything in thisperson.
"I think all I really need is good night's sleep maybe I'll go ona bender I'll sleep threw, an everything will be fine."
Ahh! Now Ray saw, self-delusion or stupidity. He wasn't sure which.
"Well," The Dr. put his hand to his chin, "sometimes we, I mean you, the patient, instinctively does know the best course of treatment. You may have something there."
Gee was confused again. Confused and hopeful.
"Really?! You think maybe all I need is some sleep."
"It's possible." The Dr. reached into his coat "Here. Maybe these will help." He scribbled something on a pad, and tore the top sheet off. He held out the prescription, but pulled it back as Gerard tried to snatch it.
"BUT! Be careful! These are powerful. Nothing to play around with."
He held out the paper, Gerard's hands were shaking as he took it. "Will do! When?! When should take them?" Ray tried to keep his face as impassive as possible. "You could this afternoon- That is if you wish."
Gee turned on a dime, there was pharmacy on the way home.
As he took off running, a wicked smile spread across the "good" doctors face. "You will be pleased with me My Lady..."
Gee slammed the door to his room. He put the bottle down on his dresser he tore of his jacket. He shook as he tried to open the bottle. He finally had two in the palm of his hand. He looked at himself in the mirror. He hadn't bothered to take off his shirt. He'd sleep in his clothes, anything. He just needed to sleep. He took one more look, tossed his back as he popped the pills and swallowed hard. He shuddered. Maybe he shouldda taken only one....
Everything went black. Then RED.
Suddenly She was there.
Mistress Lillith was happy to see him. Her sheer dark blue toga, the color of a starless night, draped about her. She held her arms open wide.
"Come my Pet..."

Re: Don't Let Me Sleep. (Story One)
This part orginally posted by Zombierocker
-----------
Robyn sat in the booth watching Gerard walk out.
What happened to me? She wondered.
How had she even escaped...she was about to be killed and then, she had been back. This was way messed up, she needed a break. She was about to leave the booth when she walked head long into Dr. Ray.
"Sorry," she mumbled as she tried to walk past him.
"Ah, Miss Robyn. Just who I was hoping to meet!"
Robyn looked up at him, "what do you need...I didn't want to talk to you yesterday and today is really no different."
He smiled, "I was just wondering...how did you sleep last night?"
Robyn gave him a puzzled look, "Um...same as I have for nearly two months, poorly. Why...think you can finally help?"
The doctor chuckled, "more than help, I can cure." He handed Robyn a small bottle full of bright blue pills.
"What are they?" She asked looked the bottle over.
"Sleeping pills, very strong."
"How strong?" Robyn was not too keen to try them...something about the doctor just didn't seem right today.
"Strong enough that it should stop all these dream, for the night at least."
Robyn was shocked, "but...what if they don't work for me?"
"They are specially formulated, but if they don't work...don't take them."
After talking for a few more minuets he convinced her and she went on her way to the Way home.
--------
Ray watched her go, his Lady had told him to get rid of her and he was sure that he just had. Those pills in her hand were deadly on their own, but if the Lady had her hand in it, she wouldn't last any time at all. Personally, he would be glad to get rid of the little witch. He smiled at himself as he thought of the rewards he would now recieve.
------------
When she came up the lawn she noticed Mr. Way's car was gone, meaning he was more than likely at work. Robyn walked in the front door expecting to see Frank, Gerard, and Mikey all on the couch, but instead was greeted by Mikey alone watching 'Nightmare on Elm Street'.
"How appropriate," she said taking a seat.
"I thought so. So, what did you get from home?"
Robyn bit her lip, her lie had slipped her mind. Thinking fast she told him her Stepmom had been home and she really had not been in the mood to see her again.
"I understand...I wouldn't either."
"So...um...where is Frank?"
"Left...said he had to go home for a bit. He'll be back though. He promised."
Robyn nodded, "and Gee...did he make it home?"
"Yeah, had some pills with him that the doctor had given him a prescription for. Said he would let me have some if they worked."
"Did they?"
"I have not seen him since...I hope so. Looked like he needed it."
Robyn felt her own pills in her pocket, "look...I am gonna go lay down myself for a moment. Have a bit of a headache."
Mikey gave her an odd look, but then bid her good luck for sleep.
Robyn moved up the stairs quickly and moved toward her room stopping only for a moment to look into Gerard's room. She peered in, but only saw him sleeping peacefully in his bed.
Must work, she thought moving back toward her room.
She closed her door and sat on her bed taking her pills out of her pocket. She read the label, claming that she should take two pills to get to sleep. She took out two pills looking them over, then put one back.
"If one does not do it...I'll take another," she muttered popping the blue pill into her mouth and chaseing it with a gulp of water.
She was suddely glad she had only taken one, as she looked up at the ceiling it began to swirl with colors. Black and red and blue...all swirling...all beautiful. Then they began to come together, make a shape...but what was it? Robyn yawned helplessly and closed her eyes as a deadly voice whispered.
"And now....you dissappear."
