Really? I seriously remember the very beginning a lot more than the rest of the story, probably because Vampy was one of the first stories I ever read on ze Rmy. It was a special fic for me..

I Never Told You What I Do for A Living, Part I

Tis short, i know this... but i figured since im so got-damn slow and i atleast got a postable amount done, id go ahead... so this is probably how its gonna work. My "chapters" my be divided between a few posts
and also, let me not forget... I had a bit of help getting the "groove" for this chapter from Ms. Fleur de Lis So thanks girlie!

Chapter Two: I Never Told You What I Do for a Living
The Beast thought quickly, racking its brain for a plan of attack. I just need her to look down, or away, or anywhere so she won't see me coming. I don't want to frighten her anymore than she already will be. The fear will taint her sweet blood. The Beast's eyes spotted her bag, wherein it saw an opportunity for a distraction.
Gerard looked down and started to pat himself down, seemingly searching his pockets for something, "Hey, um... you wouldn't happen to have, like, a lighter...or matches in that bag of yours, would you?" He looked back up at her, "This is the kind of show I need a smoke after..." He gave her another small sexy half smile, knowing her weakness to them.
Cris hesitated just a moment, her breath catching in her lungs before stammering, "I uh... I-I actually d-don't smoke... But oh wait! I brought a lighter with me! For the show!" Cris pulled her bag up from where it hung by her hip and bent her head to look. When her hair fell into her face, she let out one annoyed sigh as she pushed it back and swept it all over one shoulder, inadvertently exposing to the Beast her long, pale neck. "It's in here somewhere..."
Now the target was plainly in sight, and the Beast made its move. All in a fraction of a second, Gerard tore his sunglasses from his face, his eyes once again completely black with his desperate hunger, and lunged at his victim. His enamel daggers were unsheathed and pierced into the soft skin of her neck before Cris could even register his movements, and a hand shot up to cover her mouth before she could even think to scream.

One second, Cris was digging through her hopelessly cluttered purse for a lighter, the next she felt a searing pain in her neck. It felt as if one thousand needles pricked into her skin all at once, and her entire body tingled as if her funny bone had been shattered with a sledgehammer. She tried to scream, but it only came out as a muffled groan against the hand covering her mouth. Her heart was pounding against her ribcage, and she soon felt her strength draining, slumping in Gerard's embrace. Then, the tingling worsened and grew cold, starting at her toes and the tips of her fingers. Her breathing came slower and shallower, and it was then Cris felt Gerard's hand move from her mouth and wrap around her back, holding up her increasing dead weight.
Though even with the loss of feeling in her limbs, and her vision blurring in and out of focus, she didn't find herself frightened. She felt almost at peace, like she was falling asleep, or being knocked out for a surgery. But then, from the depths of her mind, her life pushed its way into her focus: her friends, her family, her hopes, her dreams, her goals, everything. And as the numbness advanced through her arms and legs, she could almost feel all of those things being drained from her. Now was when the fear began to sink in; the fear of never being able to see her hopes and dreams become reality. There was still so much to see, so much to experience! All those things being robbed from her in, though it seemed like ages, a span of a few minutes. So, despite the fact that she was no longer supporting herself, and her vision grew darker, she managed to muster what bit of strength was left and do all she could do: ask for mercy.
"Please... I... I don't... w-want to... die yet... Please..."

Cause with the description stuff... I am NOT happy with anything, like, less than the PERFECT word or the PERFECT phrasing... and this psychological problem has led to many a WB.
Thats why it takes me so got-damn long to update... I get stuck on like... ONE word... or ONE sentence because I wont put it up if it doesnt sound JUST right... you know? So then, i sit there, and just... try to THINK for 15 minutes, then i get either too distracted or too frustrated, then i put it down... Just to have the SAME fuckin' problem the next time I pick it up.
It took me this long just to get THAT much written...
Though I do have somedays where im just... in the groove and it flies outta me! ...
...but those are almost never.
