Sadly, like many people, I didn't know of Saul until I was recently shown a Nike commercial which featured his song "List of Demands (Reparations)", which is fantastic by itself. My volleyball team put it on a CD and it psyches us up before we play.
Now that I've had time to learn more about Mr. Williams, I honestly think the man is truly an artist. His lyrics are intelligent and thoughtful spoken word and poetry beautifully laced betwixt (i haven't had an excuse to use that word in forever X]) exciting rhythms and electronic harmonies. He speaks of life and the relative act of living; of death and dying; of cultures and societies past and future; of the experiences in his own life, and so much more.
There's not much I can say to describe the man any more than one of his poetic songs could, and so I leave the rest to him. :]
