Re: Hotel Bella Muerte.
Josephine froze as she heard the soft sound of approach closing in on her. Quickly she turned around, but no one was in the room.
"Get it together," she muttered to herself as she took a few deep breaths to calm herself from hysteria. Once she had steaded herself, she made to turn away, but the lamps suddenly blew out all at once.
Panic gripped her heart as she stood stalk still in the bathroom, allowing her eyes to get use to the dark as she lit a candle. As she allowed her breathing to slow she noticed a light coming from the mirror. As she stepped closer she let out a frightened gasp. The reflection of the room in the mirror was fully light as the one she had been in was a second before. She stepped closer, looking into the room and taking in every detail. Suddenly her breath stilled in her chest as she saw a shadowy man enter the room, behind her the door shut. She turned to the sound, but her candle did not reveal anyone.
"Who...who's there..."
She turned back to the mirror, seeing that the gentleman was closer now...standing behind her. Still, she could not tell who it was exactly. She turned again, reaching to feel for who was there now, but still it was as if no one was there.
Slowly she turned, watching as the gentleman in the mirror wrapped his arms around her reflection's waist. Suddenly she felt the pressure on her own waist. She gasped, trying to pull the arm off of her, but there did not seem to be anything there. She looked up, seeing a pair of freezing blue eyes looking back at her seeming to hypnotize her. She stood frozen as the gentleman in the mirror moved her hair back, both in the mirror and outside it. She felt the skin on her neck tingle with his breath against it as he bared his teeth.
"Please...no," Josephine whispered as she felt lips brush her skin, but her plead fell of deaf ears as searing pain wrentched through her body.

Re: Hotel Bella Muerte.
"Josephine!" Angelica called and suddenly Josephine felt the pain and the arms instantly leave her.
Josephine wasn't even sure how the woman had come into the room. But she was thankful however she was there.
"I am sorry. I had intended Carolyn to stay and attend you. I am sorry. I will escort you back to your room."
Angelica glared into the mirror. "I will make sure you are safely escorted there."
'Marcus! Leave the poor girl alone! Have you not turned enough?!'
'NO. I need fresh blood!'
'As long as I am here you will not take it! if you seduce it that is one thing...but you will not TAKE!'

Re: Hotel Bella Muerte.
Adrienne smiled as she clicked her windshield wipers to the highest setting and the volume on her radio to 27. Her Ford "Holy shit, does that thing even move anymore?" rolled easily down the two lane highway, and she tapped on the steering wheel to the beat of her CD. She had put in My Chemical Romance as soon as it started raining, like she always had for some reason. There was a dimly lit sign approaching on her right, and she squinted to read the name of the hotel. "That's some sketchy shit right there." She laughed to herself and she watched the large building came closer to her, then continued tapping away as it faded in her rear-view mirror.
And she was doing just fine when suddenly she heard a noise from her engine. "Shit! That didn't sound good.." and watched as her speedometer slowly slid back to zero. She was stuck in the middle of nowhere with a cell that couldn't get a signal and it was pouring..
"FUCK..."

Re: Hotel Bella Muerte.
[sighs] alright then, let's get it crackin.
Adrienne smiled as she clicked her windshield wipers to the highest setting and the volume on her radio to 27.
"nohnohnohNOnoh, don't you start that shit." A short silence passed, then a 'CLUNK' "HAYY," She warned, pointing threateningly at the dash. "heeeeyy. he-HEY. stop it!" Not 5 seconds later, the obvious sound of overheating filled the car. "Ritchie! Ritchie no! Keep going! Come on baby!" She cheered at her SUV, the name Ritchie coming from "Ritchie Rich", the first thing her best friend had called her when she brought the car out for it's inaugural show-off, seven years ago. "NO! No, baby noooo!" She cried, worried more about the future of her transportation then her safety. She lurched back then forward, like a rolling chair on carpet, and willed the car to keep moving. "Agh fuck! COME ON, let'sgolet'sgolet'sgo!" She heard a chunk of metal hit the hood and sighed, accepting the truth. She leaned back and watched as the speedometer slowly slid back to zero, possibly for the last time. Her head came in contact with the steering wheel. "Ugh. Where the shit am I?" She grabbed the white SideKick from the passenger seat, deciding to leave the car running as long as it could. She looked to the sky through the upholstered metal and cursed whatever gods hat left her here. She was stuck in BFE with no signal and it was pouring.
"FUCK..." She yelled. She considered her options, "Well, we could go to that sketchier than hell.. hotel and MAYBE call someone. Or we could sleep in here until daylight, hope nobody hits meh, and walk somewhere far far away, to get signal. Ah fuck it I got an umbrella." She decided, ejecting the CD from the console and turning the radio off. After putting it in it's respective case, she stretched into the backseat, "Ay, ay, ay." She searched for her messenger, her foot hitting the horn when she almost tumbled forward. She pulled it back to the front seat to sit on her lap and gathered everything she expected to need, or was too paranoid to leave behind.
"Definitely not leaving you guys here." She grabbed all of her CDs SideKick, Zune, and Ray-Bans and shoved them in the bag. She turned back again, not wanting to get rained on until absolutely necessary, and grabbed another shirt and a pair of shorts, rolling them into cloth scrolls. She slipped back into the flip flops she had taken off to drive, and pulled the giant umbrella her dad bought from the space between her and the door. Sighing one last time, she switched the power off and pulled the keys out of the ignition, leaving the car dark and quiet. "Alright then, let's get it crackin." She stepped out into the downpour in the direction of the hotel.

Re: Hotel Bella Muerte.
Evil evil Lis...and welcome to the game sOOPER.
-------
Josephine was greatful for Angelica walking in when she did, though she couldn't remember why she was so afraid. She even brought her one of her own nightgowns and a robe.
"Th-thank you Miss Angelica," she said as she came out of the changing room in Angelica's suite.
"You are welcome dear. Now lets get you back to your room, I am sure you are tired."
Josephine nodded, starting to feel her eyelids droop with the sleep she was fighting off. As Angelica led Josephine toward her room, she spied the Reeves from downstairs leading some of the men to their rooms. Among them was the blonde gentleman. As she and Angelica passed him on the stairs she made sure to get a good look at him. His blue eyes were startling, but not half as cold as the ones from the mirror. His face grew a bit pink as she passed him, as if he was embarriased to have been noticed.
"Are you...are you ok Miss..."
Josephine felt Angelica's hand tug her arm, "come along dear."
She sent the back of the woman's head a scowl before sending the gentleman a backwards glance.
Josephine, she mouthed toward him since she was out of earshot.
When they reached the door to her room the woman opened it wide and moved to the bed, pulling back the sheets.
"Ah, see my dear. It's very clean now."
Josephine smiled, though the room was still dim and cold, the ced was now clean, and that's all she cared about at the moment.
"Now rest please, it will all seem brighter when you wake."
Josephine laid in the bed until Angelica had left. When she was gone Josephine moved to her mirror. She wanted to see...to see if it was the same as the bathroom. When she looked in it she saw herself, pale and afraid, but the room her reflection was in wasn't the same. It looked...beautiful and warm and comfortable. Like it must have looked years ago, maybe centuries ago.
"It...it was beautiful..." she said turning away.
"Do you want to see it that way...live in that world..."
Josephine froze at those words whispered so close to her ear, not daring to turn toward the mirror to give the voice a face.
"I can give it to you...to all of you...for a price."

"A price? W- What Price?"
'Angelica said Seducution was acceptable..' he thought to himself.
"A simple one my dear really..." he said as he placed a slender finger under Josephine chin and turned her face towards his. "You let me come you ..every night..I will weave the stories of it's history for you until you see it as I do..Until you wish to belong here and never see it any other way..When you do...and you ask me..I will allow you to finally live that way..Would you like that sweet Josephine..Would you like to belong?"

Re: Hotel Bella Muerte.
Hmm, lets flashback a few minutes, shall we?
---------
"You were right about my Subaru XT, I never did have to wash it..."
Gerard was shocked when he saw her face. It had been AT LEAST 7 years since he had seen Sean's little sis.
"Marilyn Dylan, that is NOT you...Fuck, girl, give me a hug!" he said, throwing his arms around her. They shared a short embrace before Mari asked how he was, AND about another one of Sean's old friends.
"How's Toro? You two still talk?" she asked, looking around the room at the rest of the men with Gerard. They were all in skinny jeans, except for a burly blonde who's slightly baggier pants were rolled up, revealing knee length yellow socks.
"Are you kidding? Shit, I basically live with 'im...Hey Ray!" he called over his shoulder, and a man with HUGE bushy hair turned their way.
Marilyn broke out laughing at good old Ray, now with hair as big as her head. That wasn't the only thing that had changed...he had finally ditched the wire-rimmed glasses for contacts.
'Good for him,' she thought, snickering as he jogged over to the two of them.
"Oh, you GOTTA be shittin' me," he said in that same mousy voice that Mari remembered. Both of their voices brought back better times in her life, ones where she didn't have to worry about who was going to keep Edmund the cat, Rick (her now EX-fiance) or herself. She would hate to have to give up that fluffy thing.
"Oh, don't be so shocked to see me, ya hermit! Don't worry, there are no grudges still held against you for killing Geoff." Now THAT was a goldfish she would miss.
"Hey, I'm STILL sorry about that!...But how are you? And Sean, too? Man...you look so different, shortie!" "Ha, could say the same about you, Cotton Ball. I'm...alright, holding up, I guess. And Sean is, at the moment, not communicating with me. Hell, not with ANYONE for that matter. The last time I talked to him was two months ago, and apparently the outside world is 'completely corrupting his art', and his way of fixing this would be to lock himself in his 1 room apartment, disconnect the cable and phones, and live off Raman. It's probably not going too well." She shook her head, snorting at her brother's antics.
The two men laughed as well, and Gerard sighed. "Oh, that is SO like Sean.."
"C'mon, guys! Rooms are ready!" the blonde called, tossing a glance over his shoulder.
"Guess that's our cue.." Ray said, and the boys each gave Mari a quick hug. "Don't know how long we'll be here, but try to track us down. A LOT has changed. "Oh, like you thought you all could leave without a proper interrogation from yours truly? Now THAT'S unlikely..." She still wanted to know what was up with the other 3 guys.
Marilyn was about to go back to her chair when she heard the ancient man call to her. "Oh, miss, I can show you to your room as well. Come along, now..." his withered voice ordered. She picked up her duffel bag and skipped over with the rest of the group while the man led two tattooed guys into rooms on the first floor, one of which was significantly shorter than the other, and then brought them all up as he showed the burly blonde and Ray to rooms on the second. He then led the remaining three up a much smaller set of steps onto the final floor of the dated place. Reeves handed Gerard a key to room 392, 397 to Marilyn, and 348 to a skinny guy who was with them. Someone Mari faintly recognized as Gerard's brother.
"Have a marvelous stay, young lady," the prehistoric man said to her as they stopped at a door labeled 397, the gold plate holding the number faded and discolored with age. "The Hotel Bella Muerte never disappoints."
"Oh, er...thank you," she said, forcing a smile as he turned to walk away. "Creepy bastard," she muttered to herself as she opened the door to her dark hotel room.
--------------------------
I know this is suppose to be a horror, but hey, back stories and comedic relief FTW!
EDIT IN BY MANIAC: Sorry to commandeer your post Ali, but minor room switching... I'd like Mikey to be close to Carolyn room wise, and shes up on the third floor

Re: Hotel Bella Muerte.
Adrienne began frenetically stuffing her bag inside the hooded sweatshirt under the denim jacket she had been wearing; the sweatshirt for warmth, the jacket just cause it looked badass. Not only had the wind snapped her umbrella backwards, two of the stretchers had snapped off the runner, making it completely unusable. She held on to it though, hoping they could be reattached with enough time and the proper tools.
"Agh! What the shit is this?" She yelled, holding the bottom of the sweatshirt close to her as she began running awkwardly towards the hotel lights.
She wasn't expected to be anywhere for at least two weeks, and an annual clambake was waiting patiently for her at the end of her drive. She had vacation days saved out the ass, as they had accumulated during the first two years of working for Camilla and Davora at Prairie Underground*, when she didn't have any money to travel anyway. And she didn't get sick that much, after recovering from an initial case of Seasonal Affective Disorder, "SADness" she called it.
"All a girl's trying to do is get to Ohio, it's not that hard. It's like, four fuckin' roads!" She continued, "Buuuh no, it has to be an adventure for everyone!" Grumbling to herself, she stopped and turned around, unable to see the abandoned vehicle through the rain. She could see as far as the pavement around her, and the hotel provided little illumination. At that point, there was no way to avoid getting any wetter than she was, but she turned back around and kept jogging toward the building, having to shake water off her face every five seconds.
Through the hood over her ears, she heard gravel crunch under her feet. She then slowed to a fast walk, giving up all hope on dryness. As she continued to cross what she assumed was a parking lot, she put her head down slightly to keep the water off her face. She hadn't walked six steps further when the top of her forehead connected with metal, hard.
"AAh fuck!" She cursed again, backing away from whatever she just hit. "Where the hell did that come from?" She stepped back to see a giant RV. She wanted to hold her head, but remembered everything would fall out of the jacket. "And how the hell did I not see it? It's a goddamn bus!" Small exclamations of pain continued to spill out, and she made a point to look exactly where she was walking. Straight to the front doors. Unfortunately, she couldn't open either of them with her arms shielding her bag. So she did the next thing she thought of, screaming and kicking.
"HEY! CAN SOMEONE LET ME IN? HELP! PLEASE? I CAN'T.." She kicked the bottom of the wood as she shouted, hoping the door wasn't too thick to hear her on the other side. "ANYONE REALLY. I JUST WANNA GET IN!" She backed up, taking a few breaths. ''N maybe a shower, a blanket, hot chocolate if you have it.' She tried to mentally warm herself. "Mmm. Hot Chocolate."
She kicked the door again, "PLEASE?"

Re: Hotel Bella Muerte.
"B-belong?"
Josephine heard what he was saying, this strange man who's name she didn't know but who seemed to know her's. Looking at him gave her a funny feeling in her stomach and in her head. She felt like her stomach was full of lead and her head was full of cotton or maybe full of the same dust and cobwebs that hung in her hotel room. She sat down heavily on the hotel room bed, looking up at him like an expectant child. He gave her a chilling smile as he looked down at her.
Still, her mind kept going back to the fact that he knew her name. It wasn't like the service desk guy, Reeves. He had an excuse, but this man...with his dark hair and frightening blue eyes...
'his eyes...'
That snapped her out of her stupor, the memory of those glowing eyes in the dark. Josephine edged slowly away from him, suddenly not wanting him to touch or be near her. He seemed to sense her unease, so he bent closer.
"Why do I not give you time to...mull it over. It is a lot that I am offering you, is it not?"
Josephine nodded, just trying to get him to leave.
"Yeah...it's an...interesting offer..."
The dark headed mansmiled, "then I leave you with something to help you collect your thoughts."
He then grabbed her shoulder in a tight grip and pulled her closer, pressing his lips against her's in a rough kiss then leaving her on the bed, breathless with shock.
When she was sure he had gone she quickly began re-packing her bag, wanting to get out of the hotel as soon as she could the next morning. As she reached for her camera, not one of those new ones (though she had them) but an older one called 'Camera Obscura' it went off, spitting out a plastic covered picture. In her haste she bairly noticed it was there, her body in auto pilot just put it on the dresser until it was developed.
After packing the room up, careful to double check, she remembered the picture. She walked to the dresser, pulling the plastic off and discarding it before looking at the photograph. When she finally did she had to bite back a scream and she took in the horror of the picture. It showed her bedroom, mainly her bed, covered in blood as if someone was killed there, and standing in the middle of the room with a crule look on his face was the dark headed man.

Um...Camera Obscura is actually real, but I heard about it from a video game.

Re: Hotel Bella Muerte.
Carolyn was near tears as she just finished checking the rooms on the first floor. She dared a glance to the lobby, and stopped when she saw it empty. She turned when she heard footsteps on the stairs, and saw Reeves walking back down to his station at the front desk, "Wh-Where are the guests?!"
"I have shown them to their rooms for the night..."
Carolyn stared at him horrified "BUT! REEVES! I'm... I'm not DONE! I've only JUST now finished with the first floor!"
Reeves got a look of shock on his face, "Oh you have? Oh dear me, this will just not do!" Then the face melted into a wicked smile. "The remaining rooms for you to check are Josephine's in 237, 235, 249, 392, 397, and 348."
"And the guests are already there?"
"You were taking too long." He pushed past her on the stairs back down to the desk. Carolyn just watched him go, fuming with anger at this whole situation, then began to climb up the stairs.
"Carolyn dear? Are you alright? You seem down..." Angelica's voice rang from the top of the stairs. Carolyn paid little mind to the fact that Angelica was on the third floor while she was on the second. All that mattered was that she had found the one person in this entire hotel who actually seemed to care for her well-being. Carolyn ran in a blur up the rest of the stairs, her speed slightly surprising herself with her maid gown and was in front of Angelica within seconds, "M-Ma'am? May I please be off for the rest of the night? The rooms are clean, I am sure I checked them myself just today... I think that Josephine girl was just frightened by the rain. Please Angelica?"

"Why...ofcourse Carolyn dear, but why ever are you in such a hurry though..you usually enjoy entertaining the new guests?"
"George Miss! He's..he's finally come back..and I look such a mess..I do not wish to have him see me in my uniform,..I want to look pretty for my George."
Angelica looked puzzled for just a moment.
"Oh...well then by all means..Go please go.." the young sweet maid rushed off to prepare herself, "and Carolyn.."
"Two things...one if anyone questions you tell them I said you were to have the night off. And two..If there is anything of mine you would like to borrow...for the evening...feel free to do so...I DO hope things work out for you and George."
The maid's face glowed. "Yes Mam! Thank you Mam!" and she quickly left Angelica's sight.
